Jack Kessler, Arthur L. Finkle, Michael Riesenbach and Carole Felton Shore.


The Interreligioser Chor (“Interfaith Choir” in German) of Frankfurt, Germany, commissioned and performed Psalm 90 for choir as composed by Jack Kessler, the chazzan and director of the cantorial program at ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, located in Philadelphia. Kessler’s work was performed in Frankfurt and Stuttgart.

Arthur L. Finkle, a longtime Ball Tekiah who has appeared over the years at area synagogues, including Congregation Kol Emet in Yardley and Brothers of Israel in Newtown, is the author of the new book, Shofar: History, Technique and Jewish Law, published by Hadassah Press. This is the second shofar-centric book by the Langhorne resident, after his 2000 tome, The Easy Guide to Shofar Sounding.
Michael Riesenbach is the new chief operating officer at Isdaner & Company, the Bala Cynwyd based certified public accounting firm. Riesenbach, who earned his BA from Penn and his MBA from Drexel, will be responsible for the firm’s internal administration, day-to-day operations, financial reporting, planning and budgeting, among other duties.
Former Jewish Exponent columnist (“Trading Places”) and founder of Carole Felton Communications, Carole Felton Shore, was honored as one of this year’s recipients of a “Best of Main Line Media News” Readers’ Choice Award for Event Planning. Felton, whose base of operations is in Bala Cynwyd, received her award at the Wayne Art Center.
