Honor Your Loved Ones, Care for Our Community

Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia tribute cards are a thoughtful — and convenient — way to honor a niece’s marriage or a nephew’s Bar Mitzvah, express your sympathy upon the death of a friend’s grandfather or simply tell someone you’re thinking of them.

There’s no shopping or worrying over choosing a gift, and only a modest expense.
Best of all, at the same time you’re showing your loved ones they’re in your thoughts, you’re helping the Jewish Federation in its vital work of strengthening the Jewish community in Greater Philadelphia, in Israel and around the world by addressing its most pressing needs.
Tribute cards are available in several options:
• a generic card, good for any occasion, for $18, $36 or $54, depending on size;
• a condolence card, also for $18, $36 or $54;
• a card benefiting the Jewish Federation’s Mitzvah Food Project, for $18;
• a birthday card, for $18;
• a Rosh Hashanah card, for $18.
The Rosh Hashanah and birthday cards are new this year.
Your card will be personalized and sent out by the Jewish Federation, informing the recipient that a gift has been made by you to the Jewish Federation in honor of their special occasion or in memory of their loved one. Some of the cards are also available in packs of five or 10, if you prefer to purchase multiple cards and send them yourself.
Whatever card you choose, your purchase is a gift to the Jewish Federation and is tax-deductible. Additionally, you will be making a real and lasting impact on our Jewish community, both locally and around the world. For example: $18 provides a tutoring session for a child in the Jewish Federation-supported Orr Shalom program for at-risk youth in Israel, or 36 lunches for Jewish seniors living in Philadelphia; $54 provides a month’s worth of food for an elderly Jew in the former Soviet Union through the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, or door-to-door transportation for a senior living in Northeast Philadelphia to a physician in Center City Philadelphia.
