ADATH EMANU-EL has hired Derek Greeley to be its new director of youth engagement. Greeley, a North American Federation of Temple Youth alumnus, has been involved in social action with the group City Year and has participated in the Anti-Defamation League’s Glass Leadership Institute. He will be the Adath Emanu-El Federated Temple Youth (AEFTY) & AEFTY Jr. advisor, in addition to working in the Mount Laurel synagogue’s early childhood center and religious school.
Jonathan Krause has joined Klehr, Harrison, Harvey & Branzburg as a partner, resident in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill in the firm’s labor and employment and litigation practices. Krause was last at Morgan
Lewis as an employment law specialist. He chairs the International Affairs Committee and sits on the board of the Anti-Defamation League’s Southeatern Pennsylvania chapter.
After a career with Cozen O’Connor that spanned nearly three decades, Jeffrey L. Nash recently announced his resignation in order to start his own firm in Camden. The Nash law Group will focus on the advancement of community-based projects. Nash serves on the board of directors of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey.
The U.S. Senate recently confirmed Dr. David J. Shulkin as the Under Secretary of Health for Veterans Affairs. Shulkin, a resident of Gladwyne and a member of Har Zion Temple, will lead the nation’s largest integrated health care system, with more than 1,700 locations serving 8.76 million veterans each year. He will also oversee the almost 300,000 Veterans Health Administration employees.
