On Monday, June 22, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia brought together more than 700 of its longtime supporters for the 19th Circle of Partners Celebration at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park.
The event honored members of the community who have donated to the Jewish Federation for 25 years or more. Since its inception in 1996, more than 5,000 members have joined the Circle of Partners.
Federation Endowments Corporation president Mark Blaskey thanked guests for their long-standing annual support of Jewish Federation as well as the event’s sponsors: Blank Rome LLP, Federation Housing, Inc., Silver Lining Home Health Care and TD Bank.
Circle of Partners event co-chairs Lana and Bernie Dishler announced the Jewish Federation’s new Tikkun Olam Society, created for those who leave a legacy gift of any size to the Jewish Federation. They also recognized the inaugural Tikkun Olam Society honorees Betty Pechenick and Morris “Moishe” and Joyce Shor.
Guests were wowed by a musical performance from Tony nominee Jarrod Spector, former star of Broadway’s Jersey Boys and current star of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, who sang a variety of hits by Jewish songwriters.
