Caren R. Levine, CPA, CLTC, CFBS, a financial adviser with First Financial Group in Bala Cynwyd, has added another acronym to her title: ELIF, a recognition of her Exceptional Level of In-Force. The Wharton graduate is annually ranked as one of the 100 best MassMutual insurance agents nationwide.
 
Marc P. Weingarten, a partner in the Locks Law Firm, recently presented at the 2015 Plaintiff’s Asbestos Litigation Seminar in Las Vegas, which attracted more than 500 litigators from throughout the United States. His topic was “Cross-Examination of a Defense Epidemiologist.”
 
Abington Friends School rising senior Eli Russell earned third place in the annual Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest, held at the university of Maryland. The member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun created a website that tells the story of the pioneering early 20th-century artist/activist Paul Robeson. The contest attracts more than a half million participants each year.
 
Old York Road Temple-Beth Am has a new principal for its K-6 religious school: Rebecca Slavin-Phillips. Slavin-Phillips, who grew up in North Jersey, has family roots in the Philadelphia area that extend back three generations. The Pitt alumna and doctoral candidate began her job on June 24.
