The Philadelphia Jewish news outlet was cited with several honors in this year’s Philadelphia Press Association Awards.

After racking up five awards in the 2015 Professional Keystone Press Awards and two more from the state’s Society of Professional Journalists, the Jewish Exponent staff is back to its winning ways — this time with six awards in the 2015 Philadelphia Press Association Awards.

Lisa Hostein, the paper’s executive editor, took second and third places in the Editorial Comment category for her articles “Course Correction Needed at Temple” and “Stark Reminders of Anti-Semitism” respectively, and first place in Column Writing for her article “Viewing Father’s Day Through the Veil of Loss.”

In addition, staff writer Eric Berger won third place in the Newspaper Writing category for his article “Traveling to Israel Amid the Rockets,” and multimedia reporter Amishai Gottlieb won first place in the Sports Coverage category for “A Jewish Basketball League of Their Own.”

The paper also won second place for Best Overall Website.

In addition, the American Jewish Press Association’s Rockower Awards granted first place in Overall Graphic Design for magazines and supplements to Joe Kemp,  design director for Inside magazine, citing the magazine’s summer, winter and fall issues.

The wins, for work in 2014, brings the Exponent’s award totals in 2015  to 14.
