Taking a Walk on the Tolerance Side

ADL's annual WALK Against Hate proves a major success, raising $500,000 and awareness of the dangers of prejudice.

The Anti-Defamation League’s 2015 WALK Against Hate stepped into the spotlight on a recent Sunday, raising $500,000 for ADL as it attracted hundreds of people from all walks of life to express their determination to battle bias. Barbara Shaab, director of development for ADL in Philadelphia, and the one who ran the walk along Martin Luther King Drive in Philadelphia, called this year’s gathering “our biggest and most successful event yet,” one which “delivered our largest crowd and raised more money for ADL than all four previous years.”
