There was much to see and do — and eat — at the Vashti Banquet held by Temple Har Zion of Mount Holly, N.J.The Sisterhood of Temple Har Zion of Mount Holly, N.J., held its Vashti's Banquet, “an afternoon of food, entertainment and pampering” for its members, named after the first wife of Persian King Ahashverus, who, according to the Book of Esther, refused the demands of the king to be by his side at a banquet, and declared, “Let them eat hamantashen!” (Or something like that).
