The 500-plus volunteers for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s raised more than $1 million for the Jewish Community Fund during the Feb. 8 Super Sunday phon-a-thon, the kickoff event for the 2015 campaign season.

Day school kids, Hillel students, Israeli scouts, young professionals, older adults, teens, tots, families and a large furry green mascot from the Galapagos Islands were all represented among the 500-plus volunteers who helped raise $1,027,125 for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish Community Fund during last Sunday’s campaign kickoff event for 2015.

The 36th annual Super Sunday phon-a-thon filled the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr to capacity from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Volunteers called upon their friends and neighbors to help Federation fund programs and services that enhance, enrich and save lives here in Greater Philadelphia, in Israel and around the world.

Federation President Bud Newman and CEO Naomi L. Adler credit Super Sunday co-chairs Sheree and Wayne Bloch, and Steven and Robin Katz for making this event so successful.
There are hundreds of ways — and hundreds of days — to get involved in the Jewish community through the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. No matter your age, lifestyle, neighborhood or interests, we can help enhance your Jewish journey.
