The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's annual phon-a-thon raised more than $1 million.

They came from synagogues, colleges campuses, young professional organizations and affinity groups of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. Hundreds of volunteers came from across the region but with a singular goal — to raise funds for the Jewish Federation, which supports social service, educational and overseas programs.

As the final cowbell signaled the end of the event at the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy, co-chairs Sheree and Wayne Bloch and Robin and Steven Katz trumpeted the news that they had exceeded their $1 million goal for what was the official kickoff of the 2015 Federation Jewish Community Fund.
