It's not too early to start thinking about finding the right Jewish summer camp experience for your child or grandchild.

It may be winter, but it is not too early to start thinking about finding the right Jewish summer camp experience for your child or grandchild.

The staff at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Center for Jewish Life and Learning is ready to help you select from  more than 150 camp options, including local day camps or one of many overnight camps offering everything from sports to arts and crafts (and, of course, campfires, singing and swimming).

Head to Federation’s newly designed camp pages to learn more: jewishphilly.org/camp.

Federation is committed to doing its part to help make sure that camp is affordable for all families. Here are the three programs you should know about:

One Happy Camper: $1,000 off eligible camps for first-time campers (campers who attend day school are not eligible). Go to: onehappycamper.org to learn more and apply.

BunkConnect: 40 to 60 percent off overnight camp rates for first-time campers (day school campers and non-day school campers are eligible to apply). Learn more and apply at: bunkconnect.org.

Need-based Scholarships: For families who are not eligible for either of the above programs, Federation provides need-based scholarships for day and overnight camp.
Applications are now available online at: jewishphilly.org/campscholarship. The deadline for overnight camp scholarships is Feb. 28. The deadline for day camp scholarships is March 31.
