Local labor and employment lawyer Deborah R. Willig has been named to a transition review committee by Gov.-elect Tom Wolf.
Prominent labor and employment attorney Deborah R. Willig of Willig, Williams & Davidson, which she founded 35 years ago and now serves as managing partner, has been named to serve on the Committee on Labor and Industry, a transition review team, by Pennsylvania Gov.-elect Tom Wolf.
The much-honored Willig has carved a career of distinction serving the rights of working-class people, representing a broad range of labor unions including those that serve public school teachers and members of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Among her honors, Willig was presented the Sandra Day O’Connor Award from the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Jewish Labor Committee’s Human Rights Award. She was also named “Attorney of the Year” by the Jewish National Fund and given a Lifetime Achievement Award by The Legal Intelligencer.
