Barrack Students Return From Israel to a Wet, Happy Reception

A snowy Wednesday morning didn't dampen spirits as 53 juniors at the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy returned from a 10-week experience in Israel.

The rainy, snowy weather that clouded Philadelphia on Wednesday morning couldn’t dampen the excitement of parents reuniting with their Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy students returning from a session abroad in Israel.

Fifty-three juniors at the Jewish day school in Bryn Mawr attended the Alexander Muss High School program in Israel for the last 10 weeks after the program’s original start date was delayed from Aug. 24 to Sept. 7 due to some parents' concerns over the security situation in the Jewish homeland following this summer’s Gaza War.

The group arrived home just in time for Thanksgiving, after which they will resume their normal course of studies at the pluralistic day school in Bryn Mawr.
