Eating fettuccine alfredo and bonding with bunkmates at Camp Ramah in the Poconos have been highlights of the summer for this Camper of the Week.
This summer, the Exponent has been profiling standout campers nominated by the directors of Jewish camps around the region. This week, we introduce a Dresher teen who's found a new family with her bunkmates at Ramah.
Eden Astorino, 13, Dresher, Pa.
Camp Ramah in the Poconos, Lakewood, Pa.
Favorite camp activity: Crayon art.
Favorite camp food: Fettuccine alfredo.
Favorite camp moment so far: Star gazing at the camp's outdoor synagogue as bunk counselor Gracie reminisced about her own camp memories.
What have you learned about yourself so far? Living with a group of girls has taught me so much about myself. My bunk is like my family and we have become so close.
Her counselors say: Eden is an all-star camper. She is always smiling and is extremely positive. She loves all of her activities and is a leader in her bunk.
