A Dollar for the Mayor’s Israel Trip

Mayor Michael Nutter has some business to do on his upcoming trip to Israel.

No, the city's fiscal condition isn't that bad: Departing next month for a trade visit to Israel and Great Britain,  Mayor Michael Nutter is being given a dollar to give to charity once he arrives in Israel — a tradition for those visiting the Jewish state. The mayor is slated to  arrive in London on Nov. 2,  and follows that with his Israel trip on Nov. 6, before returning to Philadelphia on Nov. 12.

The one making the donation is Sally Mitlas, area singer and filmmaker, who was at Nutter's office interviewing him about Bill Hankowsky, chairman, president and CEO of Liberty Property Trust and focus of a documentary Mitlas is making on Hankowsky's imprint on the city landscape.
