Anna M. Brand, Community Activist and Office ​Manager, Dies at 90



Anna Moses Brand, 90, an office manager who was active in the Jewish community, died Sept. 13 after a very brief illness. She was a resident of Lafayette Hill.

Born in Eastern Europe, Brand immigrated to the United States with her husband and daughter after the war. She was the office manager for her husband, the late Dr. Clemens Brand.

Brand was active in the Main Line Chapter of Hadassah as a co-president for two terms, and as an honorary board member and an adviser.

She volunteered at the Jewish Archives for more than 10 years.

She also was a member of the Germantown Jewish Centre, Jewish Women International and B'nai Brith, and was a participant in the senior citizens group at Congregation Or Ami.

Brand is survived by daughter Marta Sivitz; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
