See a Flick and Meet the Director


Come to a special screening of the award-winning Israeli film The Band's Visit this Sunday, April 15, at 7 p.m., at the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy, 272 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, and meet director Eran Kolirin.

The movie won eight Israeli "Oscars" (Ophirs) including one for "Best Film" and "Best Director." Film reviewer Roger Ebert included it on his list of "20 Best Films of 2008."
Kolirin is serving as a scholar-in-residence at Temple University this spring under the auspices of the Schusterman Visiting Artist Program, a national residency project for Israeli artists funded by the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, with local support from both the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and the Consulate General of Israel in Philadelphia.
