Irit Kohn, Esq. is president of the International Association of Jewish Jurists and the former Director of International Affairs for Israel’s Ministry of Justice. She has represented Israel in the International Criminal Court and the Council of Europe on all matters related to extradition and mutual legal assistance. Kohn was the lead defense attorney for Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in Belgium and helped procure freedom for Gilad Shalit. She has lectured throughout the United States, including for the Bar Association, NY. Kohn is a veteran of the 1967 war.
In this talk, Kohn will discuss the trajectory of Israeli society, including the political landscape, matters of religion and state, human rights issues and the peace process.
