Morton Waber a retired insurance broker died January 24, 2013, he resided in Audubon, PA. Husband of Miriam, father of Maxine Waber (Thomas Livingston), Paul Waber (Brenda) and Lewis Waber (Pamela), grandfather of Daniel Snyder (Angela), Joanne Marder (Gil), Geoffrey Livingston (Caitlin), Benjamin Waber (Rebecca) and Andrew Waber; also survived  by 5 great grandchildren. He left a legacy of love, selflessness and generosity. He relished his role as patriarch of a large but close family, celebrating holidays and birthdays with large gatherings and taking close family members on several reunion vacations. He served in many volunteer roles. He originated Food For Thought, which developed into a city-wide free breakfast program for the Philadelphia Schools. He did hospice work for the Pennsylvania Hospital and served for several years on the Lower Merion Police Department Neighborhood Watch. He was a board member and treasurer of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, secretary-treasurer of the Ardmore Rotary Club, division leader of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, a Cub Scouts pack leader and membership chairman for the Philadelphia Big Brothers, which named him a Big Brother of the Year.
