Tzedek v’Shalom (meaning ‘Justice and Peace’) is a Reconstructionist Jewish congregation of about 50 families located in Newtown.
Our structure is unique in that our congregation is not centered around one building. We worship and hold celebrations in the Newtown Friends Meetinghouse, a faith community that shares our vision of inclusivity and social justice. Our members often open their homes for meetings, Torah study and other programs. We hold Religious School at the George School in their beautiful library classrooms. In this way, we are able to focus on building what is most important: a living, meaningful, joyous Jewish community that is an integral part of the greater fabric of life in Bucks county.
We are an inclusive congregation dedicated to the integration of spiritual life, learning, social activism and community. We welcome you to join us at any time for services, events, learning opportunities, and friendship.
