Tu-B'Shevat Seder
January 25, 2013 8:00 PM-10:00 PM
You may be familiar with the Passover Seder, but here is one you may not be familiar with.
Tu-B'Shevat is celebrated in Israel by planting trees. Jews commemorate this important event in the life cycle of growth, by eating the fruit from the planted trees.
The Jewish National Fund has created a Haggadah to help celebrate the Holy Day in a manner similar to the Seder of Passover. However, the major difference is the connection between redeeming the land and planting trees. Essentially it is redeeming the land as opposed to redeeming freedom.
We will be hosting a seder at Bristol Jewish Center to commemorate Tu-B'Shevat.
