The Algemeiner, which calls itself “the fastest-growing Jewish newspaper in America,” included President Donald Trump as well as his daughter and son-in-law in the publication’s annual list of the “top 100 people positively influencing Jewish life.”

This year’s “J100” list was unveiled at The Algemeiner’s recent gala event in New York City. The list’s entry on the commander-in-chief states, “Despite a few bumps along the road, President Trump has mostly alleviated Jewish concerns over his populist, ‘America First’ rhetoric. In particular, he has proven a stark contrast with his predecessor on Israel, who many saw as indifferent if not hostile to the Jewish state.”

The list included the president’s daughter Ivanka Trump, a convert to Judaism, and her husband Jared Kushner, a senior White House adviser.

“In a meteoric rise that saw him go from real estate developer to special adviser to the president of the United States, Jared Kushner has made himself one of the most powerful and influential Jews in American history,” states the list’s entry on Kushner.

The list also features Israeli actress Gal Gadot, the star of Wonder Woman, and musician Bob Dylan.

Czech Republic President Miloš Zeman, famed artist Yaacov Agam and Israeli Consul General in New York Dani Dayan were among the high-profile attendees at The Algemeiner’s gala, where the newspaper honored both Zeman and Agam with its “Warrior for Truth Award.” More than 600 people attended the event.

The Algemeiner was founded in 1972 with the goal “to publish important stories with an international scope for a global audience,” according to its website, which adds that the outlet “serves as a valiant media voice addressing the most compelling issues of our time, with vision, integrity and moral clarity.”
