Michael Herskovitz speaks to Friends’ Central eighth-graders.

Holocaust survivor Michael Herskovitz spoke to eighth-grade students at Friends’ Central School. The students had been studying Elie Wiesel’s Night, and Keino Terrell, the middle school assistant principal and language arts teacher, wanted to arrange a speaker in connection with the book. Herskovitz has written two books about his survival during the Holocaust, Early One Saturday Morning and Our Cherry Tree Still Stands.
