Sudden Cardiac Arrest is not an adult thing. It takes the lives of thousands of children every year. It is the #1 cause of death in student athletes. Simon's Fund, a local nonprofict organization, founded in memory of Simon Sudman, along with the Perelman Jewish Day School and Kehillah of Old York Road, will offer free heart screenings for youth ages 8 to 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the school gym at 7605 Old York Rd., Melrose Park.  Each screening takes about 30 moinutes.
