Special Shabbat Purim Performance

February 22, 2013 8:00 PM

On this Shabbat Zachor, the Sabbath of Remembrance, we shall enjoy a very special presentation, entitled Vashti, or the Whole Megillah. Penned by David Schiff, it is a funny, winsome, delightful but insightful retelling of the familiar story of Purim.  Vashti, or the Whole Megillah stars Philadelphia mezzo-soprano Sharon Sigal, and features Linda Child on the piano and Kenny Josephs on the clarinet and is directed and narrated by Arnold Kendall.
