No doubt Arlen and Joan Specter were dear to the hearts of those attending the annual tribute event of the Perelman Jewish Day School, where the Specters -- Perelman grandparents -- were feted for their fine and continued communal work over 50 years. Indeed, the school announced the creation of a new civics curriculum in the honorees' name.
