There are bracelets for nearly every cause these days, jump-started by one of the originals -- the Lance Armstrong "Livestrong" yellow rubber bracelets to raise awareness for cancer.

Locally, Tikvah/Advocates for the Jewish Mentally Ill just unveiled a bracelet that recognizes their platform.

Handmade from semiprecious stones, natural stones, silver and metal, the bracelets will help raise money for the organization, whose name in Hebrew means "hope."

Tikvah/AJMI's silver dove logo is attached to each bracelet.

All proceeds will go to helpa person with mental illness.
