Shore Event Shows Appreciation to Jewish Federation Leaders

More than 100 Jewish community members who spend part of their summer down the shore gathered before Shabbat on July 21, at the home of Jewish Federation President Bud Newman and his wife, Judy, for an appreciation event. The relaxed gathering provided an opportunity to socialize and hear a moving personal story from a young woman who recently returned from a mission trip to Israel that was subsidized by the Jewish Federation.

The speaker, Morgan Krouse, was one of 30 young Jewish professionals who participated in Israel360 VIP, a leadership development program of the Jewish Federation’s NextGen department. They experienced firsthand the Jewish Federation’s impact on critical needs in Israel.

“From the second we touched down in Tel Aviv,” she told the group, “I knew I was going to be forever changed.” As she traveled around the country with her peers, taking part in service opportunities and meeting people who are helped by the Jewish Federation, Krouse said, she fell in love with Israel and with the Jewish Federation’s inspiring work there.
