Sheldon Scharfberg, 75, the founder and president of Scharfberg & Associates, died Aug. 22 at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Fla. He was formerly of Elkins Park.

Scharfberg, who retired 10 years ago from the advertising and marketing firm in Jenkintown, had previously been advertising manager for the Raymond Rosen Appliance Corp. in Philadelphia. He attended New York University.

Scharfberg was a member of Beth Sholom Congregation in Elkins Park, where he served on the board, and was involved with the Golden Slipper Club.

A Korean war veteran, Scharfberg is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irene Sussman Scharfberg; daughter Vicki Scharfberg; son Doug Scharfberg; sister Bea Grusky; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
