Beth and Charlie Seltzer of Center City announce the birth of their first child, Sage Juliana (Shira Yael), on Jan. 1.

Joining in welcoming the new arrival are first-time grandparents Rabbi Lynnda and Larry Targan of Philadelphia, and Joan and George Seltzer of Margate, N.J.; along with great-grandmother Edith Victor and her husband, Jules Victor, of Philadelphia; and great-grandmother Helen Weinfeld of Naples, Fla.

Sharing in the blessing are aunts and uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles, as well as many cousins and friends.

Sage Juliana is named in loving memory of her great-uncle Steven Laver and her paternal great-grandfather Jack Targan.
