Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Schuchman of Chalfont announce the engagement of his daughter, Anita Carmel, to Dr. Bruce Gary Bedrick, son of Alec and Cynthia Bedrick of Wyncote. Anita is the daughter of the late Diann Levitt Schuchman. Bruce is the son of the late Phyllis Bedrick.

Anita is a cum laude graduate of George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. She also graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a master's degree in education. Anita is a fundraising and development professional for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County in Boca Raton, Fla.

Bruce graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in philosophy. He also earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. Bruce is director of strategic partnerships for CareMor Associates, an Indiana-based human-resources firm. He is currently relocating his holistic health-care practice from Scottsdale, Ariz., to Boca Raton.

The couple is planning a June wedding in South Florida.
