Neil and Penny Robb of Columbia, Md., announce the engagement of their son, Michael Benjamin, to Vanessa Janine Schiff, daughter of Dr. Marc and Margo Schiff of Trumbull, Conn.

The couple met while attending Tufts University in Medford, Mass.

Michael graduated from Wilde Lake High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in child development. He is working toward a Ph.D. in developmental psychology at the University of California, Riverside.

Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology, and attends the University of Southern California as a post-baccalaureate pre-dental student.

The couple, who is planning a June 2007 wedding, lives in Los Angeles.
