Dr. Harvey and Paulette Lefton of Huntingdon Valley announce the marriage of their daughter, Allison Rachel Lefton, to Dr. David Alan Sass, son of Solly and Ethne Sass of Toronto, Ontario, formerly of Cape Town, South Africa.
The ceremony and reception took place on May 28 at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia.
Officiating the wedding were Rabbi Harold B. Waintrup, great-uncle of the bride; Rabbi Robert S. Leib; Rabbi Bernard E. Rothman; and Cantor Hilton Maze.
Lola Shipley and Caren Gitlin were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids included Melanie Stoopler, sister of the groom; Alison Sass, sister-in-law of the groom; Shari Zipp; Barbara Pogson; and Lisa Stark. Erin Sass, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
Stuart Sass, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Lefton, brother of the bride; Eric Stoopler, brother-in-law of the groom; David Fisher; and Jeffrey Sager. Daniel Sass, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
David Libesman witnessed the signing of the ketubah.
After a honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands, the couple lives in Philadelphia, where Dr. Sass will serve as the medical director of liver transplantation at the Drexel College of Medicine.
