Samantha Evans, daughter of Dr. Barry and Beth Evans of Voorhees and Margate, N.J.; and Andrew Lutzer, son of Scott and Karen Lutzer of Stony Brook, N.Y., announce their engagement.
Samantha was a Presidential Scholar at Muhlenberg College, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and communication with honors. A graduate of the Temple University Beasley School of Law, she is a business lawyer with Bowles Cohn & Crow LLP, a start-up law firm that she helped launch over the last eight months. Samantha serves on the board of directors of a New York City-based nonprofit, Breast Treatment Task Force, and also serves on the board of directors for Temple University's Alumni Group for the Metropolitan area.
Andrew graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree in business administration and a concentration in entrepreneurial studies from Muhlenberg College. He is currently pursuing an MBA at Fordham University. Andrew worked this past summer at the Manhattan office of the real estate private equity group Norvin Partners.
Samantha is the granddaughter of Ruth Evans and the late Jack Evans of Wynnewood; and the late Mildred and Michael Asch of Elizabeth, N.J. Andrew is the grandson of Irene Lutzer Posner of Boynton Beach, Fla., and the late Erwin Lutzer; step-grandson of Walter Posner of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and grandson of Julia Christensen Cruz of East Setauket, N.Y.
The college sweethearts, who live in Manhattan, are planning a May wedding.
