Boris and Faina Milman of Langhorne, and David and Shelley Shapiro of Philadelphia announce the engagement of their children, Anna Milman and Michael Robert Shapiro.

Anna graduated from Akiba Hebrew Academy, and Temple University. Michael earned a degree in history at George Washington University.

Both Anna and Michael graduated from the Temple University Beasley School of Law; however, they did not meet until years later. They are both criminal defense attorneys in Philadelphia.

Anna is the granddaughter of Sonya Milman, the late Jacob Milman, and the late Tanya and Zamuel Rosenshine. Michael is the grandson of Ray Kaplan, the late Monte Shapiro, the late Sam Kaplan, and the late Phillip and Pearl Kricun.

Joining in the celebration are the couple's siblings, Jennifer and Reed Lyons, and Renata and Jason Vizirov, along with niece, Zoe.

The couple is planning a May 2012 wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
