The Philadelphia Region of Volunteers For Israel will hold its quarterly meeting at the Jewish Learning Venture, 7609 Old York Road, Melrose Park. The program's speaker will be  SSgt. (Res) Yared (Jared) M. Ben-Caro,  who was a combat soldier in the Israel Defence Forces during Operation Cast Lead. He served as Lead Designated Marksman and Lead Anti-Tank Missile Specialist. An immigrant to Israel from Arizona, Yared will discuss his experiences as a soldier. Yared has recently published a book called Dreidel Full of LEAD: From the Wild West to the Streets of Gaza.
