Mitch and Caren Hartka of Richboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Pamela Shari Hartka, to David Jay Miranda, son of Bill and Cindy Miranda of Miami, and the late Audrey Miranda.

Pamela graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University with a degree in political communications. She currently attends Georgetown University School of Law.

David graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University with a degree in business and is currently attending the Howard University Medical School.

Pamela is the granddaughter of Harry ("Hal") and Marilyn Sopin, and Blossom Hartka and the late Paul Hartka, all of Philadelphia. She is the great-granddaughter of Ann Hartka of Sarasota, Fla. David is the grandson of Harold and Ellie Aibel, and the late William and Jeanette Miranda, all of Miami.

Sharing in the celebration are the couple's siblings, Brooke and Carly Hartka, Jenna (Mitchell) Meyers and Benji Miranda.

The couple, who lives in Washington, D.C., is planning a December wedding in Washington.
