Michael and Karen Sallen of Merion Station, and Fred and Paula Minsk of Pikesville, Md., announce the engagement of their children, Monique Fabbro and Jared Minsk.

Monique graduated from Cabrini College with a degree in psychology and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently lives in Baltimore and works in the health care field.

Jared graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and holds a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University. He is currently working toward an LL.M in federal procurement law from George Washington. Jared is an attorney for the U.S. Air Force.

The couple, who will live in Columbia, Md., is planning an August wedding in Baltimore.
