Dr. Barry and Dr. Ruth Wexler of Belle Mead, N.J., announce the engagement of their son, Bryan P. Wexler, to Rebecca Sturgis, daughter of Dr. Miriam and Dr. Gary Sturgis of Vermont.

Rebecca is a junior at Brandeis University, and is studying science, society and policy.

Bryan graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis with Bachelors of Art degrees in philosophy, Judaic studies and Hebrew.

The couple, who lives outside Boston, is planning an August wedding.
