Jennifer and Steven Kantor of Brooklyn welcomed the birth of their daughter, Sylvia, on Aug. 10.

Sharing in their happiness are grandparents Karen and Jim Kantor of Rydal, Pa., and Margate, N.J.; Jan Padley of Bedworth, England; and Denise and Dave Padley of Leamington Spa, England.

Joining in welcoming Sylvia are great-grandparents Debbie and Bernie Toll of Elkins Park; Hilda and William Udall of Streetly, England; along with aunts and uncles Mark Kantor of San Francisco; Jane Hickman of Derby, England; and Charlotte Hickman and Chris Littlewood along with cousins Molly, Jacob and Noah of London.

Sylvia is named in loving memory of her maternal great-grandmother Sylvia Padley.
