Dana (nee Hersh) and Chad Melnick of Holland, Pa., announce the birth of their daughter, Cassidy Paige Melnick, on Dec. 8.

Sharing in their happiness are grandparents Gail and Terry Hersh, and Susan and Marc Melnick, both of Bensalem. Great-grandparents are Lillian and Jack Bender, Sylvia Hersh, Israel Fleisher and Burton Melnick.

Joining in welcoming Cassidy are Aunt Melissa and Uncle Matt Grossman, and Uncle Todd Melnick and Hallie Bendel.

Cassidy is named in loving memory of her paternal great-grandmother Celia Fleisher
