Dr. Charles and Cheryl Scott of Cherry Hill, N.J., announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Brooke Scott, to Brian Paul Neider, son of Michael and Janice Neider of Boca Raton, Fla.

Emily graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in psychology. She also earned a master's degree in ed-ucation while teaching in the "Teach for America" program. Emily is a third-grade teacher in Bronx, N.Y.

Brian graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a venture capitalist for Bessemer Venture Partners in New York.

Emily is the granddaughter of Phyllis and Benjamin Wexler, and Marilyn Scott and the late Sol Scott. Brian is the grandson of Flossie Schare and the late Morton Schare.

The couple, who met as high school participants in a summer program in London, is planning a July wedding.
