Ada Kirschenstein, 94, who was active in the Jewish community here, died Aug. 30 at Martin's Run, where she had lived since 2000.
A member of Har Zion Temple for more than 50 years, she was a member of its Sisterhood and its first confirmation class.
She was also a member of Hadassah, B'nai B'rith and a lifetime member of Women's American ORT, where she served on the national board of directors.
Kirschenstein is survived by daughter Mimi Harris; sons Alan Kirschenstein and Joseph Kirschenstein; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Robert Kirschenstein, who died in 2003.
