Rose Natalie Kolber, 94, who worked many years as a bookkeeper for several local companies, died Sept. 13. The former Rose Lisack, she lived in Wyncote.
Kolber grew up in the Logan section of Philadelphia and was a graduate of Gratz High School. She worked as a bookkeeper after her children were grown, including a stint at a hardware company and the Melrose Country Club, before she became head bookkeeper at her son's advertising corporation, Kolber Marketing, in the 1970s.
Active in charity work, she was one of the founding members and officers of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Home for Asthmatic Children, a group that raised thousands of dollars to help sick children.
Kolber is survived by sons Gene Kolber and Stuart Kolber, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and high school sweetheart, Bernard Kolber.
