Ellen Beth Wice and Steven Joseph Ulmer announce their engagement.

Ms. Wice, daughter of Mrs. Shifra R. Wice and the late S. Eugene Wice of Scott Township in Pittsburgh, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in theater and communications from Emerson College in Boston. She also holds a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from Chatham College in Pittsburgh.

Ms. Wice is employed by the Spectrum Family Network in Washington, Pa.

Mr. Ulmer, son of Robert and Gloria Ulmer of Beachwood, Ohio, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Miami University and a Master of Science degree in finance from the University of Illinois.

A certified public accountant, he is employed by Resources Global Professionals in Pittsburgh, and is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Maryland University College.

The couple is planning a September wedding.
