Charlotte Seiden of Blue Bell and David Seiden of Long Beach Island, N.J.; and Dr. Harris and Janet Lewin of Cheltenham announce the engagement of their children, Melanie Ann Seiden and Adam David Lewin.

Melanie, a graduate of Lafayette College and the Bank Street College of Education, has a master's degree in early childhood/ elementary education. She is a literacy lead teacher with the School District of Philadelphia.

Adam, a graduate of The Ohio State University and Villanova University, holds a master's degree in public administration. He is a senior product specialist and regional trainer for Ortho-Biotech Products, LP.

Melanie is the granddaughter of Sylvia Targan and the late Leonard Targan, and Jennie Seiden and the late Joseph Seiden. Adam is the grandson of Penny Parker and the late Harold Parker, and the late Samuel and Marsha Lewin.

The couple is planning a September wedding in Philadelphia.
