Michelle (nee Robbins) and Scott Markow of Gaithersburg, Md., announce the birth of their son, Samuel Louis (Shimon Lev), on Oct. 6.

Sharing in their happiness are grandparents Fran and Steve Robbins of Newtown, and Rhona and Ronald Markow of Pikesville, Md.; along with great-grandparents Alice and Albert Schwarz of Jackson Heights, N.Y.

Samuel Louis is named in loving memory of his paternal great-grandfather Sam Markow, and his maternal great-grandfather Louis B. Robbins.
