Dearest Daddy,

We think of you every day and smile as we remember and discuss some of your funny sayings. Time has softened somewhat your leaving us, but we miss you every day. We still listen for your special whistle in a crowd and are disappointed when we do not hear it. It’s lonely when we get together, especially  at holidays and you and Mother are not there in person, We drink a toast to both of you and remember how fortunate we are to have had you as our daddy. We have our wonderful memories to sustain us and speak about you to the new generation that didn’t know you. You still have our love and devotion. Sadly missed by your CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, and GREAT GRANDCHILDREN
