Susanne (nee Ritt) and Alasdair Nichol announce the birth of their son, Lachlan Scott Macpherson Nichol, on Oct. 28.

Sharing in their happiness are big brother Stevie Ritt Nichol, grandmother Ann Brenner Ritt of Haverford, and great-grandmother Doris Brenner Sostmann of Wynnewood.

Lachlan is named after his paternal grandparents of Scotland.
