Michelle and Alan Braverman of Broomall announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Beth Braverman, to Dr. Jeremy Scott McCallister, son of Diana and Brent McCallister of Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Tara is a graduate of Towson University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also holds a master's degree in audiology from the College of New Jersey.

Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida and a doctorate degree from Central Michigan University.

Tara and Jeremy are both neurophysiologists employed by Surgical Monitoring Associates, Inc., where they met.

Tara is the granddaughter of the late George and Roslyn Segal, and the late Bernard and Anne Braverman. Jeremy is the grandson of Charlotte Boone and the late "Dutch" Boone, and Nellie McCallister and the late Estil McCallister.

The couple is planning an October wedding.
